EMBS (Engineering in Medicine & Biology Society) applies engineering sciences and technology developed worldwide to medicine and biology, providing professional development by sharing research information to improve the quality of human life, increasing incentive for the profession, determining technical standards, and expanding the network between individuals and institutions. It is a technical professional organization with 12,000 members in 97 countries, established to pursue multidisciplinary studies that will influence future developments in bioengineering and health technologies.

As YTU EMBS;

• To follow engineering and technology developments in pharmaceutical, medical, genetics, medicine, bioinformatics, biomechatronics, and many other fields,
• To ensure the development, dissemination, integration and use of knowledge among bioengineering, molecular biology and genetics, chemistry, biology, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, mechatronics engineering, control automation engineering students, faculty members and sector employees,
• To provide engineering students with the ability to act professionally in non-technical issues they may encounter,
• Ensure networking between academic and industry professionals and engineering students, both formal and informal, thereby increasing industry participation in organisations,
• To provide a competitive advantage against our colleagues in the job market by sharing the most up-to-date information thanks to the wide and comprehensive network created,
• We aim to achieve technical standards by bringing together scientists, engineers and physicians from different disciplines through international meetings, panels, workshops and conferences.     

      In addition to all these, our technical team Biomech, which won first place in the Teknofest best initiative field, provides certain training and assignments throughout the year for you to join our bionic arm team. If you complete these steps, you can be a part of our team. In our event called Bioform, we provide an environment for you to get information about and communicate with leading companies in sectors such as medicine, biology, chemistry, biomedical and pharmaceutical.
